Hosted IP Services

What are "Hosted" IP Services?
Intercel Telecom Group's Hosted IP services are a range of carrier-class IP services that are hosted on the ITG communications network. ITG operates with lower capital expenditures and operating costs than traditional wire line telephone or cell phone providers by employing IP technologies, such as Voice over IP (VoIP), to provide telecommunications services. ITG's cost savings are passed on to Intercel's customers.

Traditional telephony requires an expensive to build and maintain central office infrastructure. In contrast, VoIP calls are routed over the Internet to a less expensive ITG softswitch, and then handed off to a carrier for termination. In addition, traditional wire line networks use dedicated circuits that allot fixed bandwidth to a call for its duration, whether or not the full bandwidth is required. VoIP uses bandwidth more efficiently, allocating bandwidth based on usage at any given moment.

Our customers do not need to invest in an expensive infrastructure or negotiate contracts with carriers. They are able to go to market quickly with a complete "white label" package to add recurring revenues to their bottom line by offering ITG's services to consumers.

What is a VNO?
ITG's white label hosted ITG services enable our Virtual Network Operators (VNOs) to share the costs of delivering the services. A VNO shares ITG's softswitch platform (a secure partition) with other VNOs, owns no network assets, and has an agreement with ITG to resell VoIP services.
